Some of the converted Sakyans suffer with Shudra Psychic Disorder (SPD). They think that after converting, they would merge with Shudras who are in the respective religions and keep away from Sakyans who are not yet converted. Even those who talk against conversion often ask that after you (Sakyans/ Dalit) converted to other religions, but you still remain with our separate (Sakyan/ Dalit) identity and struggle for our rights. Both, those who want to merge with Shudras and critic of separate identity among the converted Sakyans, do not understand that the conversion has two aspects i.e. spiritual and political. As per as spiritual, there is no need for any identity as Christian, Muslims and Buddhists. If any one accepts a particular religion in their heart and follows it, they would attain what those religions promises to them. The spiritual conversion of Sakyans says that they were denied any spiritual attainments in Hinduism and it is possible in other religions. On the other hand if any one asserts with religious identity such as Christians, Muslims and Buddhists means that they are entering into politics. The conversion politics of Sakyans is not to merge with Shudras as simply as Christian, Muslims and Buddhist but to assert their own Sakyan identity and differentiate from the Caste Hindus including Shudras. The Sakyans will remain as Sakyans wherever they go because it is their politics to struggle against discrimination and struggle for their social and political rights. Politically rejecting Hinduism and accepting other religion is not to merge with caste Hindus (including Shudras), by loosing their political rights, rather protecting their political safeguards. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar said that we would continue our struggle to retain political safeguards even after the conversion. We also appreciate people who join in any religion for their spiritual attainments and becoming part of all beings even renouncing human identity, because we need both spiritual as well political attainments.
